The Beginning

So here is my first post on my first blog-  Not really sure what I’m doing or how this thing works, but God love the land of fool-proof templates. This is in response to several requests for my food “blog” -which until now was just a word doc.

For those who may not know the back story, it all started with our stealing back a cookbook called A Taste of the World we’d given my in-laws for Christmas.  Yeah it’s indian-giving, but whatever.  I decided to cook through it, very Julie and Julia I know, but it’s been fun as hell so far.  The following are my musings on the book, the recipes, and well hell, just the awesomeness of food!  Hopefully I’ll have the rest of the files uploaded here soon…

And as a disclaimer, if sporty language rubs you the wrong way you may not want to read any further 😉

  1. This is so cool! I know I am going to love reading this. And oh by the way “sporty language” has it's place. I know it works for me every time I burn myself, slice into my hand, forget an ingredient or just dump the whole measurement of hot pepper into the bowl when half of it was to be saved for something else. If you can't take it step out of the kitchen!

  3. My mouth is watering! You'll have to try that recipe in Jan's new gourmet kitchen. We ordered all the appliances yesterday! You'll have to get her to send you pics of them. Great blog…looking forward to more entries!

  5. Spanikopita! Great. Our favorite. Now that you know how to roll the filo dough without it breaking up, you can show me. It looks like making rectangles were easier than making triangles. How many recipes have you done now? So far sounds good. Language – spot on! Jason – you lucky guy! Make sure you add Debbie Wyatt to your list.
