Greeting the Day

When you walk into the classroom and this is what you’re greeted with on the Chef’s demo table, you know it’s going to be a good day.

When he tells you he will later on in the course be bringing in whole carcasses (lamb) to demo these items on, you know it’s going to be a good few weeks.

When you ask if you can use the cleaver and the saw on said days and he says SURE, you know it’s all just gone from good to waking up cushioned in technicolor fluffy clouds with angels massaging your back and endless cups of coffee flowing from rainbows.

Today we just got chickens.  But we got to break ’em down, french some bones, AND make these funky looking drumstick pops that can stand up on their own!!

It’s like a self-licking ice-cream cone!  Well sort of.

I mean I guess they just look like upside down ice-cream cones.  Whatever.

They’re fucking cool.  Dammit.

The little noose in the middle picture was courtesy of my friend in class.  I don’t ask where she learns these things, just enjoy her contributions.

Sometimes from a distance 😉

  1. You just started my day with a good laugh and an addition to my list of things I want to see you do the next time I see you face to face.
