There is very little akin to baking fresh bread in your own home; it is a singular experience for every sense.
My baker is making a new sun-dried tomato loaf, and the dough looks and smells divine.
Sometimes it’s the small things:
The way something smells when it’s very fresh…
The colors in a bowl of aromatics awaiting a braise…
…that put the comfort in comfort food.
I can smell the bread a baking! May I have some – please!!
